Luke 6:36 “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful;” sparing you from many bad deserving things.
It’s because God loved us in our sin (when we were willingly in the wrong) His mercy saved us. What credit is it to us, then, being good to those who are good to us? (v33)
We have to show mercy in spite of; loving beyond circumstance. For our willingness to have compassion on those who despitefully use us, creates an opportunity for their salvation.
When we don’t “…” as usual, others can see the God of mercy in us! 🙂
